Chrysler is pleased to announce that it has been named one of 2012’s Top 10 Car Brands by Total Car Score, a well-respected automotive research and comparison website that ranks every car, truck, van and crossover on the market.

Different than the awards for top-scoring car, which focus exclusively on individual models, the list of top car brands ranks automakers according to the overall strengths of their entire lineup. The goal, says Karl Brauer, editor in chief of Total Car Score, is to provide “a data-driven assessment of which automakers are producing the most desirable, highest-quality cars.”

The fact that Chrysler made the Top 10 means that all of our vehicles, from the Chrysler 200 to the Chrysler Town & Country, displayed the kind of consistency that brings only positive attention. And that’s not all—while we scored higher across the board than most of the competition, we also showed the second highest year-over-year improvement, jumping a whopping 3.71 points in total automaker score.

My Review of Safford Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Fredericksburg:
I had a great experience during my most recent visit to Safford Dodge. I initially went to Safford dodge to see a car I saw online that i was interested in. Not long after I got out my car, I was greeted by one of the mechanics or service tech who just happen to be walking across the lot to their other building. He immediately asked me if I needed help, I told him I did, and he immediately went to get one of their sales professionals. Shortly After I was greeted by Scott Rader, I advised him of my reason for my visit and he immediately set out to find the vehicle I saw online. However, during our search for that vehicle, I happen to see another vehicle that I liked even better and wanted more info on. Scott advised that vehicle just arrived and he would get me all the details on it. Scott went out of his was to speak to the service manager, who was also very helpful and was able to give a brief description of the vehicle and within minutes Scott had pull the vehicle into the garage and allowed my Wife and I to take a closer look at. Needless to say I purchase the vehicle and I’m extremely happy with it.

Both Troy and Joanie were extremely helpful. They were adamant about getting us the vehicle was wanted. They took the time to get to know us better and were friendly the entire time. By the time we left we felt like part of the Jeep family. We will be recommending their services to our friends.

I recently bought a Chrysler 300 from Jerry Silsley. He was very friendly, helpful and professional. I was able to get exactly the vehicle I wanted with the down payment and payment I was looking for. I have been rebuilding my credit for some time and Jerry was very patient with me and explained all the forms so I understood the entire process. He was recommended to me by a friend and was great! Sometimes a secret kept is so much more effective than when it all leaks out.  Oh sure, there were stories about who the talent would be, but the real story was the message, and that held until the spot aired just before the second half kickoff.  And the message couldn’t have been any more appropriate – afterall, how many times has a team come back in the second half?

What’s in a Name?

One of the best episodes of The Simpsons is 1991’s Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?, in which Homer discovers that his long-lost brother, Herb Powell, is the chief executive of a car company.

The Homer

At one point in the episode, Powell (voiced by Danny DeVito) berates his staff for suggesting that the company name a new car “the Persephone,” after the Greek goddess of reviving crops who was condemned to the underworld after eating pomegranate seeds.

“People don’t want cars named after hungry old Greek broads!” Powell yells. “They want names like ‘Mustang’ and ‘Cheetah’–vicious animal names.”

While Ford Motor’s Mustang has one of the best names in automotive history, some marketers who tried to make their cars more high-culture than they actually were, could have used a scolding from a guy like Powell. Did any of Chrysler‘s or General Motors’  customers really believe that driving a Dodge Diplomat would make them more ambassadorial or a Pontiac Parisienne would make them French?
